Stila's convertible color in Petunia is amazing, but I'm trying to find a powder blush version of this same color.
Any suggestions?

Anyone know of stores where I can find boot styles like these?:

Pretty much rounded toe, thick heel, a little platform, and no patent leather. I've looked everywhere online, but they either don't have the right style, and the above sites don't have my size (I'm an 8)

Hey everyone, in the past I've gotten some really good advice/recommendations so I'm back again!

My first question is, does anyone use medicated coverup? As in, a spot coverup that has some sort of zit drying medication in it. I had never thought of using such a thing until I heard someone talking about it, and it sounds like a great idea. Any good drugstore brands? Also, in general, what's everyone's favorite drugstore brand of spot coverup, medicated or not?

Second, I wanted to recommend a product: Proclaim Olive Glossing Conditioner. It's from Sally's and I love it. I don't use it everyday (sometimes just once a week) but my hair is so much noticeably softer. I've never noticed such a difference from a shampoo or conditioner.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I have no idea what I'm going to do with my hair. It's pretty long now and that is making it less curly and just kind of wavy. I'm SUPER low maintenance with it and decided dying it was a bad idea because I'm such a failure at upkeep. I apologize for how crappy all these pictures are, but I fail at the camera phone.

For Christmas/Chanukah, my boyfriend's sister got me this BEAUTIFUL scarf )

I love it, but I don't have the slightest idea how to wear it.

I was thinking it would look really cute as a belt with jeans and a t-shirt, but I'm having the hardest time figuring out how I would do this. I figured I could thread it through the belt loops, but this scarf is really long - I think on the Old Navy website, it says it's something like 72 inches. I tried googling it but haven't found anything helpful; everything I've found has involved shorter or square shaped scarves as opposed to really long rectangular/oblong shapes ones.

Any suggestions?

So I have been having some skin troubles lately. I've been changing products & BC's. My skin is finally starting to settle down, but I have noticed that my cheeks have very large visible pores. I have never really had this problem in the past, but like I said my skin has been kind of crazy the past couple months. Anyways, I currently am using some sulfur products that my doctor prescribed. I have combination skin that is pretty normal to dry in most areas. I do not really exfoliate very often, because my skin is sensitive & prone to breakouts. I find that most exfoliating products are too harsh and irritating for my skin. What can I do to minimize the pores on my cheeks? I find that they are somewhat noticeable even with makeup.

Greetings beauties!

I recently went from blonde to  'Marcia Cross Coppery-Red' hair. I do love it.

I have been struggling with eyeshadow though.
I used to wear a lot of golds, neutrals, bronzes as a blonde, and still do as a red head, but want to branch out.

With NYE fast approaching, I was thinking of doing something silver.
I have never done silver with red hair.
Does that even work well? Or am I better off sticking to the gold family?

My skin tone is a very generic medium beige... not too pink or too orange.
I've had hair ranging from black to blonde and am lucky that I manage to suite most eye shadow colours (when I had dark hair, I loved the cool tones and silvers etc).

With the coppery red hair, I have always been convinced that I can't wear silver, yet I love the look!

Any one have any tips or suggestions on wearing silver makeup as a red head?
Is there a shade or tone of silver should be looking for?

Thanks!

I feel like someone always asks this before the start of every year. I love reading them so... what are your beauty resolutions for the new year?

P.S. I hope everyone has a safe and fun time on New Year's Eve/Day! =)

I recently found a good shampoo & conditioner that makes my hair silky. Then on top of that I'm using a very small size of the CHI Iron Guard Thermal Protection Spray (<3). With all three combined my hair ends up so silky but my problem lies in my hair spray. I'm currently using Aussie products but my hair just ends up feeling likes straw. My hair will not stay straight all day because it's naturally wavy. I'd like to be able to straighten my hair, have it hold all day, but still have that silkiness to it. Are there any products you use that have great staying power while feeling silky (preferably under $15)?

So I've been growing my hair out and I'm trying to decide what to do with my part before I get it cut again or whatever.

Anyway I cut it really short into a pixie about 8 months ago and I was cutting my bangs straight across, but I want a change and I've been looking at side swept bangs. I just don't know if it looks ok, I mean its been so long since i changed my part i'm worried that it looks weird to me because its new or because it just looks weird.

So I'm here to ask your lovely ladies opinions.

Pictures under here... )

How far I've let my bangs grow out now.

I'm just not sure what I should do with it, so I'm here to ask you lovely ladies for help.

Thanks in advance, I'd really apreciate your comments.

this is my first post, so forgive me if i mess up somehow.

i'd love to know if anyone has used benefit's some kinda gorgeous AND/OR mac studio fix foundations. i'm making a trip to sephora and mac tomorrow, and i'm in the market for a new powder foundation. i've used studio fix before, but i'm considering skg- it seems like basically the same thing, no? can you compare them for me?

for reference, i prefer to keep my beauty routine VERY streamlined, i have combo skin that tends to get oily towards the end of the day, and i have used studio fix before (in NC25 if you care) but considered it a little too cakey when applied with a sponge. i also hate clogged pores like no other, so whichever is less pore cloggy is great!

p.s. i'm also getting benetint for my lips and cheeks, and hoping to find a triple barrel hair waver for a decent price... if anyone can recommend one that'd be great. benetint tips too.

I'm determined to learn how to do this for new years eve.
I guess Lady Gaga uses a clip in but I think it's so much cooler to use you're own hair.

i checked the tags, and i think i need updated responses.

i have dark hair with red highlights, and i want it to be a brighter red. i'm not sure about the process of bleaching at a salon to get it bright red, so if someone could explain that it would be awesome.

and if there is a box dye that could get me the same results, can someone please tell me?

i've heard about the loreal feria power reds. has anyone used these?

and if anyone can post pictures of their experiences and dye jobs, that would be great.

this is my hair currently...

this was taken at night, it's lighter in the sun.

and i want to get here

or a hayley williams bright red.
LIKE FIRE.
sorry if this is you... lol.
does anyone think this color would look good on me? if not, can you offer a red that would look good on me?

thanks,

jordan.

ps. i don't know how to do a cut. sorry. :/

I need a new face wash. I've been using Philosophy Purity but it wasn't helping with my breakouts, especially around that time of the month lol. The only thing I loved about it was that it took off my makeup really well. I've pretty much decided on a cleanser from Shiseido, but I am completely confused as to what the difference is between the Pureness Deep Cleansing Foam and the Pureness Foaming Cleansing Fluid. On Sephora it says that the Pureness Deep Cleansing Foam is good for oily skin, which I definitely have, however in the winter (like now) pieces of my face get really dry after I wash them. So I really haven't the slightest idea which one to get. Recs? Stories? Experiences? Advice?

This leads me to my next question. I need a new moisturizer. I've been using Neutrogena's Oil free moisturizer with SPF 15 because I live in Florida and I figure I at least ought to pretend like I'm protecting my skin. However, it leaves my skin oily and I notice that by the end of the day (especially in the summer) my face is very oily and slick. Also, I hate hate hate the sunscreen smell. So, I need recs for good oil free moisturizers that won't leave my skin all oily and gross. Sunscreen is not all that important, but it's a bonus. But I hate the sunscreen smell. I'd prefer to buy it at Target or a drugstore, but if there's something that has absolutely changed your life that I'd have to get from Sephora or something, well, I could probably be convinced...

I've been using this moisturizer for years. It's been discontinued, so the rarities available online are pretty pricey. Anyone know anything that's similar?

I'm considering trying Clinique makeup again. I used it back in highschool, but its really the only higher end makeup that is easily available to me. So what is your favorite Clinique products?

OK, so I tried the Nars Orgasm blush again in natural daylight and yeah, so orange I looked like a scary clown. :( So I took it back to Sephora yesterday and they were very nice about taking it back.

Now I'm looking for blush. I have this ancient freebie from a Clinique bonus pack that has an ice-pink blush on one side and a tan/brown bronzer on the other, and I kind of mix those on my brush and it looks good...but I'm still interested in something new. I'm pale with dark hair and yellowish undertones but I blush pink, not orange. I don't like a lot of shine or shimmer.
